Displaying much improved performance, Indian Senior Women Football Team, featuring two players from Odisha, held Uzbekistan to a goalless draw in their second and last international friendly match at the TDTU Stadium in Tashkent today. The two Odisha players were: forward Pyari Xaxa and defender Juli Kishan.
However, India lost the bilateral series 0-1 as they suffered a 0-3 drubbing in the first match held at the Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent earlier on May 31. The Indian team conceded all three goals in the second half. Uzbekistan striker Khabibulaeva Deora struck a hat-trick to notch up a comfortable victory for the hosts.
