  Kalahandi Cup Cricket: 5 batters hit tons, Subham scalps 7

As many as five batters scored a century each in four super league matches of the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament, held at different grounds in Cuttack on 11 and 12 June 2024. Amidst the run feast, Cuttack-A captain Subham Nayak shone with the ball, bagging seven wickets for 53 runs in their 30-run win over Rest of Odisha-A.

An unbeaten 155 by Kartik Biswal and 139 by Sandeep Pattnaik powered Bhubaneswar-A to a 106-run win over Rest of Odisha-D for whom Anil Parida slammed 115. Rest of Odisha-B rode on a ton each by Girija Barik (121) and Om T Munde (111) to drub Balasore by 130 runs.

Fine all-round performance by Debabrata Pradhan helped Rest of Odisha-C beat East Coast Railway by 15 runs in another match of the day. Pradhan captured three wickets for 35 runs and followed it with an unbeaten 50.

11-12 June 2024 (Match 9, DRIEMS Ground): East Coast Railway 210/10 in 58.4 overs (Satyen Mohanty 81, Sameer Mohanty 68; Debabrata Pradhan 3/35, Milan Samal 3/50, Soubhagya Rout 2/53) lost to Rest of Odisha-C 225/10 in 67 overs (Gourav Choudhary 50, Debabrata Pradhan 50*; Jayanta Behera 4/57, Suryakant Pradhan 4/67) by 15 runs. 11-12 June 2024 (Match 10, Barabati Stadium): Rest of Odisha-A 235/10 in 69.4 overs (Anurag Sarangi 88, Ashish Parija 70; Subham Nayak 7/53, Tapas Das 2/25) lost to Cuttack-A 265/9 in 75.2 overs (Bikram Samal 75, Biplab Samantray 63; Anurag Sarangi 3/18, Vimal Kumar 3/70) by 30 runs. 11-12 June 2024 (Match 11, Sunshine Ground): Bhubaneswar-A 423/4 in 90 overs (Kartik Biswal 155*, Sandeep Pattnaik 139, Shantanu Mishra 59; Papu Ray 2/132) beat Rest of Odisha-D 307/10 in 78.4 overs (Anil Parida 115, Saideep Mohapatra 62; Sambit Baral 3/32, Swayam Routray 2/46, Ritesh Priyaranjan 2/108) by 106 runs. 11-12 June 2024 (Match 12, Ravenshaw Ground-1): Balasore 212/10 in 49.5 overs (Gurudipan Jena 87, Nauttam Bhanja 37; Ayaskant Sahu 3/24, Prashant Thakkar 3/65, Ankitkar Jaiswal 2/40) lost to Rest of Odisha-B 342/10 in 76.4 overs (Girija Barik 121, Om T Munde 111; Losonath Murmu 4/48, Manas Patra 3/81, Bishal Das 2/42) by 130 runs.
