Asserting supremacy in all three categories, host Odisha emerged overall champions with a total of 27 medals in the Asmita Khelo India Womens Weightlifting Zonal League (Zone A), which concluded at Biju Patnaik Weightlifting Hall, Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today.
The 27 medals featured 13 gold, six silver and eight bronze. The host State added three gold medals to its tally on the finals day, courtesy Mausumi Das, Abhishiktha Kaduluri and Subhasmita Mohanty. Odisha garnered 10 medals (6 gold, 1 silver, 3 bronze) in youth category, seven (3 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze) in junior and 10 (4 gold, 2 silver, 4 bronze) in senior groups.
