Odisha settled for the silver medal in the Junior Boys National Football Championships for the BC Roy Trophy (Tier-1) as they finished runners-up after losing to West Bengal 0-2 in the final at the Ramakrishna Ashrama Ground in Narainpur, Chhattisgarh today.
Odisha reached the final, defeating Chandigarh 2-0 in the semifinal on August 3. Earlier in their two Group-A league matches, Odisha beat defending champions Uttar Pradesh 3-1 and Mizoram 3-2. Prempiyush Bagh led the 22-member Odisha team in this championship. Football Association of Odisha announced a cash award of Rs 5,000 for each player and team staff.

29 July 2024 (Group-A League): Odisha (Montu Nag 15, Aman Lakra 22, Naresh Kumar Dhan 40) beat Mizoram (Vansangpuia Ralte 52, Francis Lalhruaizela 90+3) 3-2. PoM: Aman Lakra.
3 August 2024 (Semifinal): Odisha (Prempiyush Bagh 45+2, Naresh Kumar Dhan 67) beat Chandigarh 2-0. PoM: Aman Lakra (Odisha).
12 August 2024 (Final): Odisha lost to West Bengal (Subhodip Sardar 2, 72) 0-2. PoM: Subhodip Sardar.
