Odisha reaped a rich haul of 19 medals in the Khalo India Women Wushu League (South Zone), which was held at Sri Gouri Shankar Kalyana Mandap in Bagalkot, Karnatak from 10 to 13 June 2024. The 19 medals include eight gold, three silver and eight bronze. Odisha also secured the third position in sanda. Tamil Nadu emerged overall champions, securing 16 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze medals.
As many as 30 players, three officials and four national judges represented Odisha in this four-day competition. Due to cancellation of trains, 11 players from Odisha could not participate. Pradyumna Behera of Odisha acted as head judge of the championship.
Odisha judges were: Anuradha Dora, Susmit Kumar Panda and Eswar Chandra Mahanta. They were accompanied by Pankaj Mahanta, Natabara Sethi and Sangram Mohanty as coaches.
Wushu Association of Orissa chairman Sudhanshu Shekhar Harichandan, president Bishnu Mohan Mohanty and general secretary Yuvraj Harichand congratulated the medal winners of the state.

GOLD: 1. Itishree Priyadarshnini Routray (45kg sub-junior sanda), 2. Suman Patra (39kg sub-junior sanda), 3. Swetarani Mahanta (48kg junior sanda), 4. Sabita Munda (56kg junior sanda), 5. Manju Munda (45kg senior sanda), 6. Jyotsnarani Jena (Senior baguazhang, taolu), 7. Jyotshnarani Mudili (Senior jianshu, taolu), 8. Koushika Routray (Senior changquan, taolu).
SILVER: 1. Nupur Pattnaik (Junior nanquan, taolu), 2. Payal Pattnaik (Junior taijishan, taolu), 3. Raude Marandi (Senior taijiquan, taolu).
BRONZE: 1. Rita Sethi (Senior qianshu, taolu), 2. Anusuya Barik (Senior Nandao, taolu), 3. Anwesha Pallai (Senior taijijian, taolu), 4. Mamali Jena (Junior jianshu, taolu), 5. Dibyakanti Oram (Junior changquan, taolu), 6. R Padma (Sub-junior nanquan, taolu), 7. Arpita Pradhan (65kg senior sanda), 8. Laxmi Munda (45kg junior sanda).
