Rest of Odisha-C emerged champions in the Kalahandi Cup Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament, edging out fancied Bhubaneswar-A in the low-scoring final, which was played at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on 20 and 21 June 2024.
Rest of Odisha-C captain Debabrata Pradhan was the main architect of their triumph, shining with both bat and ball. He scored a useful 31 and then scalped six wickets for 47 runs to be adjudged as the Player of the Match.
Put into bat, Rest of Odisha-C made a modest total of 134, thanks to a half-century by Biswa Bhusan Bihari. Sambit Baral did the maximum damage to the Rest of Odisha-C innings, bagging six wickets for 34 runs.
