A dashing hundred, the first of the tournament, by Swastik Samal powered Odisha Pumas to a six-wicket win over Odisha Lions in the seventh match of the Odisha Cricket League (OCL T20) at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. Samal hit six boundaries and seven sixes to be awarded as the player of the match. Anurag Sarangi scored a half-century for Odisha Lions.

Earlier in the day, Odisha Cheetahs beat Odisha Jaguars by 10 runs in the rescheduled second match of the tournament. Originally set to be played on the opening day (June 30), the match was abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain. In the rescheduled match today, Shreyansh Bharadwaj bagged the player-of-the-match award for his knock of 44.

2 July 2024 (Match 7): Odisha Lions 169/10 in 19.5 overs (Anurag Sarangi 58, Prabin Luha 25; Kartik Biswal 2/20, Ayaskant Sahu 2/26, Soubhagya Rout 2/35) lost to Odisha Pumas 172/4 in 19.1 overs (Swastik Samal 100, Maroju Prashant 22; Suryakant Pradhan 2/37) by 6 wickets. PoM: Swastik Samal.
