A five-wicket haul by Arnab Patnaik and an unbeaten century by Abdul Latif propelled Cuttack-A to an eight-wicket win against Sambalpur-B in their preliminary league match of the OCA U-19 Mens Inter-District Cricket Tournament at MGM Sports Ground in Cuttack today.
Bhubaneswar-B, Kendrapara, Nayagarh, Nuapada and Bhadrak registered wins in five other matches of the day. Among other outstanding performers, Bibek Maharana (KIIT), Sayed Tufayl Ahmad (Bhubaneswar-B) and Piyush Panigrahi (Sundargarh) captured five wickets each, while Sisira Pattanayak (Kendrapara), Rahul Chhatri (Sundargarh), Chandan Sahoo (Cuttack-A), Prem Bhoi and Amarnath Bhoi (both Sambalpur-B) hit a half-century apiece.
