High-flying Odisha FC marched into the main draw (Group Stage) of the 1st AFC Womens Champions League Club Football Championship 2024-25 with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over hosts Etihad Club of Jordan in their second and last Group-B match of the preliminary round at the Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa, Jordan today.
Ghanaian forward Jennifer Kankam Yeboah was the star of the Odisha FC win, scoring their two goals in the 27th and 71st minutes. Maysa Jbarah scored the only goal for the Etihad Club in the 57th minute. With the win, Bhubaneswar-based Odisha FC finished top of Group B with a full six points. Earlier in their opening match, Odisha FC trounced Lion City Sailors of Singapore 4-1.
