  Sub-Junior Boys NFC: Odisha crash out with double defeats

Odisha suffered second successive defeat in the Sub-Junior Boys National Football Championship (Tier-1) when they were trounced 7-2 by Delhi in their Group-C league match at Bangalore Football Stadium in Bangalore today. With the double defeat, Odisha crashed out of the tournament.

Earlier in their opening match, Odisha suffered a 9-1 humiliating defeat against Mizoram at the same venue. Prayas Behera is leading the 22-member Odisha team in this championship. A total of 16 teams are participating in this championship.

Team are playing league matches in four groups and the four group winners will qualify for semifinals. Odisha will meet Meghalaya on September 9 and Delhi on September 11. The two semifinals will take place on September 13 and 20, followed by the final on September 22.
