  State Sr Athletics Meet: Animesh, Jyoti, Nikita, Divya set NMR

The second day of the 70th Odisha State Senior Athletics Championship generated four New Meet Records (NMR) at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. Star sprinter Animesh Kujur (U-23 boys 100m run), Jyoti Prakash Nayak (U-23 boys hammer throw), Nikita Purbiya (U-23 girls hammer throw) and Divya Sandilya (Women hammer throw) broke the previous meet records in respective events.

The three-day championship has produced a total of 10 new meet records so far. The second day witnessed competition in 60 track & field events. Dondapati Mrutyam Jayaram, Mary Mukta Soreng, Bonita Lakra, Susmita Tigga and Sabita Toppo were other well-known athletes who bagged gold medals today.
