  Odisha State Senior Athletics Meet ends with 22 NMRs

The 70th Odisha State Senior Athletics Championship concluded with a total of 22 New Meet Records (NMR), including 12 on the third and final day at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. Cuttack emerged overall champions with a total of 215 medals and 312 points.

Swagat Kumar Behera (U-20 boys triple jump), Durga Ch Kisku (U-20 boys triple jump), Animesh Kujur (U-23 boys 100m run), Panchanan Bihar (U-23 boys 100m run), Nirmal Jena (U-23 boys discus throw), Puja Behera (U-23 girls 3000m steeplechase), Jita Patra (U-23 girls 400m hurdles), Mary Mukta Soreng (U-23 girls triple jump), Arpita Parida (U-23 girls discus throw), Ashok Dandasena (Men 1500m run), Hari Behera (Men discus throw) and Susmita Tigga (Women 3000m steeplechase) broke the 12 meet records today.

 

Odisha Athletics Association president G Srinibas Pattanaik, secretary Ashirbad Behera, Hockey Promotion Council of Odisha director Deepankar Mohapatra presented the trophies at the closing function.
