Bhubaneswar-B, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Cuttack-B and Puri posted wins on the opening day of the OCA Inter-District School Cricket Tournament at different grounds in Cuttack and Khordha today. The tournament is being organised by Odisha Cricket Association.
Bhubaneswar-B rode on an unbeaten century by Aditya Pradhan to rout Keonjhar by nine wickets, while a six-wicket haul by Ayusman Panda helped Nabarangpur beat Kandhamal by 48 runs. As many as 12 district school teams are participating in the first phase of the tournament, which is being conducted in one-day (50 overs) format.
RESULTS:
20 Sept 2024 (Match 1, BJB High School, Khordha): Keonjhar 150/10 in 49.4 overs (Ayush Sethy 50, Rahuldev Naik 35; Soham Patnaik 3/11, Harivans Bhuyan 2/11) lost to Bhubaneswar-B 151/1 in 24.1 overs (Aditya Pradhan 106*, Mrutyunjaya Tripathy 23*) by 9 wickets. PoM: Aditya Pradhan.
