Keonjhar, Kandhamal and Gajapati registered wins in respective preliminary league matches of the OCA Inter-District School Cricket Tournament at different grounds in Cuttack today and yesterday. Rain and wet grounds played spoilsport as other matches scheduled for these two days were abandoned.
Sarwan Sahoo picked four wickets for four runs as Keonjhar beat Nabarangpur by 52 runs via DLS Method. A four-wicket haul by Raag Gupta went in vain as Bargarh lost to Gajapati by three wickets. Suvam Sahoo hit a gutsy 36 to steer Kandhamal to a six-wicket win over Jagatsinghpur.
