Odisha bodybuilders cornered glory, bagging one silver and two bronze medals at the 56th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship, which was organised by Indonesian Bodybuilding Fitness Federation, under the auspices of World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Federation at Pacific Palace Hotel in Batam City, Indonesia from 6 to 12 August 2024.

Jagannath Khuntia won the silver medal in mens 75kg weight class, while Soura Amlanjyoti Mohanty and Badal Behera claimed one bronze medal each in mens 60kg and 70kg categories respectively. Besides the three medals, Odisha also secured fourth position through Subhakanta Mallia in mens 55kg category.

Odisha Body Building Association (OBBA) president Sumitra Tripathy and general secretary Prasanna Kumar Mahasuar congratulated the medal winners at the Asian championship.
