Five players from host Odisha have been given wildcards to compete in the ITF World Tennis Tour Mens $25,000 Tournament to be organised by Odisha Tennis Association (OTA), in collaboration with Sports & Youth Services Department at Tennis Centre, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 4 to 10 November 2024.
Among the five, Kabir Hans (ATP Rank 1330), Amrutjay Mohanty and Pratyush Mohanty will play in the main draw, while Debasis Sahoo and Aditya Satpathy will contend in the qualifying round.
The tournament, which is part of the ATP ranking system, stands as one of the top-tier events on the ITF Mens Professional Tour. Players from India, USA, Australia, Germany, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Moldova, Indonesia and Nepal would participate in this tournament.
Singles champion and doubles title winners would earn 25 ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) points. Dalibor Svrcina of Czech Republic will be the top singles player with an ATP ranking of 278. Sasikumar Mukund (ATP rank 410) will be the highest-ranked Indian player.
