Hockey Association of Odisha today announced an 18-member State squad for the 14th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship, which is taking place at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand from 30 September to 10 October 2024.

Sumi Mundari will lead the team with Tanuja Toppo as her deputy. Odisha woman Olympian Lilima Minz has been named as the head coach of the team. Odisha will start campaign with two Pool-E league matches against Hockey Bihar and Hockey Bengal on October 2 and 4 respectively.

A total of 26 teams are participating in this National championship. Teams are playing league matches in eight pools and the top team from each pool will qualify for quarterfinals.

ODISHA JUNIOR WOMEN HOCKEY TEAM:
Goalkeepers: Engil Harsharani Minz, Namsi Jharika.
Defenders: Puja Ramchhuria, Sonali Ekka, Rose Mary Xalxo, Priya Toppo, Amisha Ekka.
Mid-fielders: Sumi Mundari (Captain), Priyanka Kujur, Tanuja Toppo (Vice-Captain), Nisha Dadel, Premshila Bage, Anandita Toppo.
Forwards: Rambha Kujur, Jyoti Xaxa, Surekha Bahala, Karuna Minz, Binati Minz.
Team Staff: Lilima Minz (Chief Coach), Neha Singh (Manager), Hayat Amreen (Physiotherapist).
