Odisha boys team won the bronze medal in the 34th Sub-Junior National Kho-Kho Championship, which was held at Albert Ekka Stadium in Simdega, Jharkhand from 28 Sept to 2 Oct 2024. Both Odisha and Karnataka secured the bronze medal by reaching semifinals. The gold and silver in the boys category, were bagged by Maharashtra and Telangana respectively.
The 15-member Odisha boys team beat Rajasthan in the quarterfinals 20-10 and lost to Maharashtra 28-30 in the semifinals. Maharashtra clinched a double crown by winning the gold medal in the girls category.
Karnataka girls claimed the silver, while Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu settled for the bronze. The five-day championship was organized by Jharkhand State Kho-Kho Association, under the aegis of Kho-Kho Federation of India.
