Jocelyn Bartram saved three attempts to help the Odisha Warriors win the penalty shootout 3-2 after their Womens Hockey India League (HIL) 2024-25 match against the Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers ended in 1-1 draw at Jaipal Singh Munda Hockey Stadium in Ranchi today. Baljeet Kaur scored for the Odisha Warriors while Beauty Dungdung scored for the Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers.

This was the second win for Odisha Warriors who now occupy the second spot in the league table with six points from three matches. They will face Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers again on January 19.

The Womens Hockey India League opened with a glitzy ceremony where artists showcased the culture of Jharkhand. Kalpana Soren, Jharkhand MLA and wife of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, unveiled the Womens Hockey India League trophy along with the captains of the four participating teams.
