Odisha secured two medals in artistic gymnastics today with women Olympian Pranati Nayak claiming the silver in table vault. This was the second medal for Pranati, following the gold medal she claimed in the women all-around event yesterday.

It may be noted that Pranati hails from West Bengal and trains at Odisha AM/NS Gymnastics HPC in Bhubaneswar. In the last Senior National Championship, held in Bhubaneswar, she won one gold and one bronze for her employer Indian Railways.

Odisha also secured one silver and two bronze medals today in canoeing and kayaking to take its tally to 41, which include 12 gold, 14 silver and 15 bronze. Canoeists Rasmita Sahoo and Achoibam Sanatombi Devi secured one silver in C2 women 500m sprint, clocking 2:06.466.

Odisha kayakers Oinam Bidya Devi and Oinam Binita Chanu won one bronze in K2 women 500m with a time of 1:59.930, while the other bronze was pocketed by kayaking duo Sagar Kumar and Salam Kishan Singh in K2 mens 500m, clocking 1:38.897.
