Rana claimed one silver and one bronze in U-21 and senior male kumite respectively. Suromite won one bronze each in senior female team kata and U-21 individual kata. Among other Odisha medalists, Bedant Das grabbed one silver, while Suman Sekhar Das and Ritesh Ray captured one bronze each in individual events.
Supriya Mohanty and Priyadarshini Das were part of the bronze medal winning Odisha senior female kata team. The Odisha squad was accompanied by Kharabela Mallick, Deepak Samantara, Arabinda Patnaik, Rajib Singh and Santosh Maharana as coaches and officials. Abinash Pundir was the team manager.
Over 1,500 karate athletes vied for medals across 49 categories, representing 28 states, eight Union Territories and Para Military teams. Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka inaugurated the event, while Chief Minister Revanth Reddy graced the closing ceremony as chief guest.
