Odisha Olympic Association (OAA) has given affiliation to three state level sports organisations and recognition to four others. This was announced by OOA General Secretary Avijit Paul after the Annual General Meeting of the apex sports body of the state at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack today.

The three new affiliated units are: Odisha Muaythai (Thai Boxing) Union, Odisha Softball Association and Wushu Association of Odisha. They will now be empowered with voting rights. The four newly recognised bodies are: All Odisha Esports Association, Qwan Ki Do Association, Odisha, Odisha Roll Ball Association and Odisha Vyayam Association.

Results of the elections of OOA were formally announced during the AGM. It may be recalled that all office-bearers of OOA were elected unopposed for a four-year term after scrutiny of nominations earlier on March 19. Senior BJP leader Samit Mohanty became the new president, while Avijit Paul retained his post as general secretary.
