Archers bagged one gold and three silver medals on the 10th and last day to enable Odisha cap its campaign on a glorious note, bagging the highest number of 57 medals in six disciplines at the 1st Khelo India Tribal Games (KITG), which concluded in Chhattisgarh today. The 57 medals featured 21 gold, 15 silver, 21 bronze.
Odisha, however, finished second in the overall medals tally, while Karnataka secured the top spot by virtue of winning more gold medals. Karnataka bagged 23 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze for a total of 38 medals.
Arjun Khara won the only archery gold medal for Odisha in mens individual recurve today. He also secured the silver medal in recurve mixed team with Mamita Oram as his partner. Odisha asserted supremacy in mens individual recurve with Somanath Hembram claiming the silver medal behind Arjun. Odisha won the other silver medal in mens recurve team, represented by Arjun Khara, Ramai Murmu and Somanath Hembram.
