*     Represented India in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
*     Secured silver medal in the 2003 Asian Championship.
*     Secured bronze medal in the 2002 Busan Asian Games.

*     Working as rowing coach at SAI SAG Water Sports Centre, Jagatpur, Cuttack since May 1, 2016.
*     Working as SAI rowing coach at Alleppey, Kerala from June 6, 2013 to April 16, 2016.
*     Under his tutelage, Odisha rowers won number of national and international medals.

*     Took to rowing in 1996 on the behest of the Indian Army coach Dileep Kumar, when posted at the Madras Engineering Group, Bangalore.
*     He was National champion in single scull events and did well at the Punjab and Hyderabad National Games.
*     He was the first Indian to qualify for the Olympics in the single scull event.
*     He was a junior commissioned officer of the Indian Army.
*     He was trained by coaches Ismail Baig, S P S Yadav and M T Binu.
*     Romanian coach Nicolas Vulpe, whose training methods and technical knowledge, helped him become a better rower.
