MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS AS PLAYER:
NATIONAL:
* Represented Odisha in the 11th Female National Wrestling Championship, held at Gonda, UP from December 4-8, 2008.
* Finished seventh in girls 51kg weight category of the 9th Junior Girls National Wrestling Championship, held at Srinagar from Sept 21-23, 2007.
* Represented Odisha in National championships from 2003 to 2011.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS AS COACH:
* Trained many budding wrestlers among whom Anjumol Joseph won a bronze medal in the recent 35th National Games held in Kerala in February, 2015.
* Represented the country as the chief coach in Bangkok in the Asian Wrestling Championship in 2017, in which India won nine medals, which included one gold, one silver and seven bronze.
* Represented India as the main coach in the World Women Wrestling Championship held in 2017 in Athens, where India was placed third by winning two gold and four silver medals.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
* In 2015, she left Odisha alleging lack of encouragement in the state and joined Kerala State Sports Council as a wrestling trainer for one year at Thiruvananthapuram.
* Earlier she worked there for six months on an experiment basis from November 2014.
* Her father worked as a daily labourer.
* As a wrestler, she received coaching from SAI coach Siba Charan Bose.
