MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:

STATE:
*     Won the 400m Gold medal with New Meet Record (47.48s) in Boys-18 group of the 70th Odisha State Junior Athletics Championship at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar on 3 June 2024.
*     Won the 400m Silver medal in boys-16 age group of the 67th Odisha State Athletics Meet, held at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack from 28-30 December, 2019.

ZONAL:

*     Won 2 Gold medals in U-20 men 400m and 4x400m relay in the 35th East Zone Junior Athletics Championship, held at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 7-9 Oct 2024.


NATIONAL:
*     Won boys 400m run Gold medal with a New Meet Record, clocking 47.12s in the 19th National Youth (U-18) Athletics Championships at Bahtarai Athletics Stadium in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh on 16 June 2024.
*     Won one Gold medal for National Camp-A team in the 1st National Open Relay Carnival in Chandigarh on 24 March 2024.
*     Won the mens 400m Gold medal with New Meet Record (46.90 secs) in the 22nd National Juniors (U20) Federation Athletics Championships at SAI Regional Centre in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on 9 March 2024.
*     Won 2 Gold medals (one each in men U-18 400m hurdles and 1000m sprint medley) in 38th National Junior Athletics Championships, held at Nehru Stadium, Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) on 10 November 2023.
*     Won one Gold (400m hurdles) and one Silver (1000m medley relay) medal at the 18th National Youth Athletics (U-18) Championship in Uduppi, Karnataka on 12 March 2023.
*     Won the medley relay Bronze medal in U-18 boys group of the 37th National Junior Athletics Championship at SAI Athletics Stadium in Guwahati, Assam on 13 November 2022.


INTERNATIONAL:
*     Eliminated in the mens 400m event of the 20th World U20 Athletics Championship, finishing 46th overall and seventh in Heat-4 with a time of 51.26 seconds in Lima Peru on 28 August 2024.
*      Made a successful international debut by winning the boys 400m hurdles Silver medal with a personal best time of 51.38 seconds at the 5th Asian Youth (U-18) Athletics Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekisatn on 30 April 2023.


OTHER IMPORTANT DATA:
*     Managed to participate in the World U-20 Athletics Championship 2024 in Lima, Peru just after recovering from dengue.
*     Due to visa issue he could not participated in the 21st Asian U-20 Athletics Championship, held in Dubai from 24-27 April 2024.
*     He was honoured with citation and a cash award of Rs 1 lakh by IMPaCT at the 31st Ekalabya Puraskar function in Bhubaneswar on 27 December 2023.
*     On 23 March 2023, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik felicitated him with a cash award of Rs 25 lakhs for winning the 400m hurdles gold medal with a time of 51.90 secs at the 18th National Youth Athletics Championship in Uduppi, Karnataka. But it may be noted that Hansda clocked 51.90 in the heats and won the gold with a time of 51.95 in the final.
*     According to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, with the time of 51.90 secs Hansda was ranked World No 1 in under-18 age category.
*     After his Youth National gold medal achievement, Hansda was personally interviewed by VK Pandian, Private Secretary to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, and the video of the interview was posted in social media.
*     On 21 Feb 2023, Odisha Government felicitated him with a cash award of Rs 8,500 for winning one bronze medal at the 37th Junior National Athletics Championship 2022.
*     Hansda lost his father in 2008 when he was just one year old. He is the youngest of five siblings.
*     Bapi stays with his brothers, sister and mother.
*     According media report, his eldest brother had to work as a sweeper at a railway station to fund his training.
