*    Won several medals while representing Cuttack in the State Athletics Championships from 1978 to 1981.
*    Won the high jump bronze medal in the Junior National Athletics Championship at Aleppy, Kerala in 1981.
*    His career best jump remains 1.75 metres.
*    Took part in the decathlon event of the Inter-Services Athletics Meet several times.

*     Represented India as a technical official in the 4th South Asian Junior Athletics Championship, held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai from 11-13 September 2024.
* Represented India as a technical official for athletics competition in the 12th South Asian Games, held at Guwahati from February 9 to 12, 2016.
*     Officiated in Lusofonia Games, held at Goa in 2014.
*     Officiated in the 20th Asian Athletics Championship, held at Pune from July 3 to 7, 2013.
*     Officiated in the Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010.
*     Officiated in Asian All Star Athletics Meet, held at Pune in 2010.
*     Officiated in National Games at Ranchi in 2011.
*     Officiated in the Commonwealth Games at Delhi in 2010.
