PROFESSION: Indian Administrative Service/ Odisha/ 2000. Working as Private Secretary to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik since 2 May, 2011. Also functioning as Secretary to the CM’s Transformation and Initiatives (5Ts).
ROLE IN SPORTS: Athlete-turned-sports promoter

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS AS SPORTSMAN:
*     As a middle-distance runner he was university champion in 800m and 1500m.

MAJOR CONTRIBUTION AS SPORTS PROMOTER:
*     Played instrumental role in the successful hosting of Asian Athletics Championships 2017, Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 and many more international events in Bhubaneswar.

*     His applicatition for voluntary retirement from service was accepted by the Government of India on 23 October 2023.
*     He was conferred with President’s Award by International Hockey Federation for his contribution towards development and promotion of hockey in Odisha, during the 47th FIH Congress on 22 May, 2021.
*     Regarded as the most powerful bureaucrat in Odisha.
*     Served as ADM Rourkela, Collector of Mayurbhanj and Ganjam districts.
*     He was an athlete during his school and college days.
