DESCRIPTION:
*     Hockey Punjab emerged champions and Hockey Odisha finished runners-up in the previous edition, which featured 32 teams.
*     Altogether 35 teams, including three new entrants will take part in the fourth edition.
*     Matches will be played at two venues _ SDAT Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium and YMCA Nandanam Hockey Stadium.
*     The 35 teams have been divided into two Divisions - A & B.
*     While Division A will have 16 teams, Division B will have 19 teams.
*     Each Division will further be divided into four Pools consisting of four teams each in Division A and five teams each in Pool A B & C of Division B and 4 teams in Pool D within the same division.
*     The three new teams are: Steel Plants Sports Board, Hockey Gangpur-Odisha and Vidarbha Hockey Association.
*     The matches will be played in a phased manner with Division B first completing its sets of matches and the same will be played from March 24 to 31.
*     Teams under Division A will play their matches from March 29 to April 6.
*     Placed in five-team Pool A, Hockey Gangpur will play their opening pool match against Puducherry on March 24.
*     Hockey Gangpur will subsequently meet Mizoram, Steel Plant Sports Board and Uttarakhand on March 25, 26 and 28 respectively.
*     Hockey Odisha have been placed in Pool B and they will play their three pool matches on March 30 (vs Karnataka), April 1 (vs Himachal Pradesh) and March 3 (vs Mumbai).
