DESCRIPTION:
*     With Odisha Swimming Association (OSA) in a limbo following the demise of its secretary Pitambar Jena and the resignation of president Durga Sankar Patnaik, OOA has come forward to stage the championship.
*     The state championship, featuring competition in men, women, junior and sub-junior boys and girls categories, will serve as the basis for selection of Odisha squads for different national events.
*     OOA will also send state squads to national swimming championships till normalcy returns to OSA.
*     Since June 5 is the last date for submission of entries for the Sub-junior National Championship, scheduled to be held at Indore, OOA decided to stage the state meet before the end of May.
