DESCRIPTION:
* Part-I of the festival will feature all-India open tournaments in three categories _ rapid, blitz and below 2000 rating.
* GMs Deepan Chakravarthy, Sriram Jha, Nilotpal Das and GM elect Swapnil Dhopade have confirmed to compete in the rapid and blitz categories, which carry prize funds of Rs 3 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively.
* The below-2000 rating tournament carries a total prize fund of Rs 3 lakh, including Rs 75,000 for the champion.
* All three tournaments will be 10-round competitions.
* The Part-II of the festival, featuring an all-India open rating (below 1700) tournament and carrying a prize fund of Rs 5 lakh, will take place at the same venue from December 25 to 27
