DESCRIPTION:
*     According to Cuttack Club president Dr Manoranjan Mohapatra, the state championship will be part of  150th anniversary of Cuttack Club.
*     According to Cuttack Club secretary Suvendu Mohan Patnaik, 48 cueists will vie for the snooker title and nine for the billiards.
*     The top two finishers in each event will represent the state in the National championship.
*     Bluetech will be the title sponsor of the state championship.
*     Introduction of prize money will be a new feature of the state championship this time.
*     According to tournament convener and former state champion Subrat Das the champion and runner-up in snooker will receive Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000, while the top two finishers in billiards will be given Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively.
