DESCRIPTION:
* The Athletics Federation of India has announced a 47-member Indian squad, including four from Odisha for the above-mentioned championships.
* The Odisha quartet includes woman sprinters Srabani Nanda, Dutee Chand, heptathlete Purnima Hembram and male sprinter Amiya Kumar Mallick.
* The championship will feature competition in 42 events (21 for men and 21 for women).
* India had finished sixth in the medal tally with 17 medals in the previous edition held at Pune in 2013.
