DESCRIPTION:
*     The 2018 SAFF Championship, also known as 2018 SAFF Suzuki Cup 2018 for sponsorship reasons, will be the 12th edition of the SAFF Championship, the biennial international men`s football championship of South Asia organized by SAFF.
*     Seven countries are set to participate in the event.
*     They are host Bangladesh, defending champions India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Maldives and Bhutan.
*     Matches will be played at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka.
*     India has won the title seven times (1993, 1997, 1999, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2015).
*     Bangladesh (1993), Maldives (2008) and Sri Lanka (1995) have won the title once each.
*     India and Bangladesh were joint champions in 1993.
*     India have been placed in Group-B along with Sri Lanka and Maldives.
*     India will play their group leageue matches against against Sri Lanka on Sept 5 and Maldives on Sept 9.
*     Semifinals and final will take place on Sept 12 and 15 respectively.
