DESCRIPTION:
* The Vijay Hazare Trophy is also known as the Ranji One-Day Trophy.
* Vijay Hazare Trophy was started in 2002-03 as a limited-overs cricket domestic competition involving state teams from the Ranji Trophy plates.
* It is named after the legendary Indian cricketer Vijay Hazare.
* Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are the most successful teams having won the trophy four times each.
* Mumbai are the current champions (2020-2021) who won their 4th title beating Uttar Pradesh in the finals.
* Subhranshu Senapati will lead a 21-member Odisha State Team in this tournament.
* Odisha State was announced on December 2 by Odisha Cricket Assoiation Senior Selection Committee Chairman Pravanjan Mullick.
* Odisha would compete in Elite Group-A along with Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Vidarbha.
