*     The first World Championship was held London in March 1891 and the last in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in December 2021.
*     The World Championships will be the first qualifying event for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
*     Odisha woman international Jhilli Dalabehera was named as one of top eight lifters of the country for a month-long training in the USA ahead of the World Weightlifting championships.
