The 15km-long mass run, offering a total cash prize of Rs 4.18 lakhs, would commence at Biju Patnaik Park (Unit-6) and conclude at KIIT University campus.

Competition would take place in three categories each for men and women — 15 to 18 years, above 18 years and above 50 years.

Top 15 finishers in each of the six categories would be given cash prizes. First prize winners would get Rs 18,000 (15 to 18 years category), Rs 22,000 (above 18 years category) and Rs 15,000 (50 and above category)

Entries would be registered at Kalinga Stadium on March 4.

Biju Patnaik Mini Marathon has been conducted since 2006.

But the event was skipped in the year 2009 due to imposition of election code of conduct.
