DESCRIPTION:
*     Twelve men and as many women teams will fight for the top places in this qualifying tournament for the 5th Khelo India Youth Games that will take place from 4 to 10 February 2023 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
*     Matches of the qualifying tournament for men and women will take place at Kalinga Stadium and KIIT Hockey Stadium respectively.
*     The round-robin league stage will see six teams in each pool.
*     Odisha men team has been placed in Pool-B along with Jharkhand, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
*     Odisha women team has formed Pool-A with Hockey Haryana, Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Hockey Mizoram, Hockey Maharashtra and Hockey Karnataka.
*     After completion of league matches, top four teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
