DESCRIPTION:
*     Baluan Sholak Sports Palace, Almaty is the venue of the championship.
*     The nine-round championship will feature competition in Open and Women categories.
*     Top four finishers in the Open category and the top two in the women category will qualify for the FIDE World Cup, scheduled to take place in Baku (Azerbaijan) from 29 July to 26 August 2023.
*     Odisha WGM Kiran Manisha Mohanty has been named as the coach of the Indian women team.
