DESCRIPTION:
*     The four host cities are Chennai, Trichy, Madurai and Coimbatore.
*     Around 5,630 athletes from 36 States and Union Territories are expected to vie for medals in 26 sports disciplines.
*     Odisha Government has sent a 138-member State contingent, including 76 women for the 6th Khelo India Youth Games.
*     They would compete in athletics, football (boys and girls), judo, weightlifting, cycling (track & road), swimming, hockey, badminton, gymnastics, tennis, mallakhamb and kho-kho.
*     In the previous edition of the KIYG, Odisha finished ninth with a total of 30 medals, which included 11 gold, eight silver and 11 bronze.
*     Only Hockey Association of Odisha has announced the state mens and womens teams for Khelo India Youth Games.
