DESCRIPTION:
* Indian Super League is the premier professional football league of India.
* It was launched in 2014.
* A total of 13 teams will contest in the ISL 2024-25.
* Mohammedan Sporting Club will be the new entrants this year after finishing at the summit of the I-League.
* Defending champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant will meet Cup winners Mumbai City FC in the opening match on September 13.
* Bhubaneswar-based Odisha FC will play their first match against Chennaiyin FC at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar on September 14.
* Odisha FC reached semifinals in the ISL 2023-24 before losing to Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the double-leg semifinals 2-3 on aggregate.
