DESCRIPTION:
* IWL is the top tier professional football league for women in India, founded in 2016.
* IWL 2024-25, the eighth edition of the tournament, will feature eight teams: Odisha FC, East Bengal FC, Sethu FC, Sreebhumi FC, Nita Football Academy, Kickstart FC, Gokulam Kerala and HOPS FC.
* The eight teams include the top six from IWL 2023-24, as well as the IWL-2 champions, Sreebhumi FC and runners-up, Nita FA, who have been promoted for IWL 2024-2025.
* Odisha FC are the defending champions.
* The team finishing at the top of the table will be crowned champions and secure direct qualification for the next IWL season.
* Four clubs have been crowned as champions so far.
* Gokulam Kerala have been the most successful team, winning the title thrice.
* Eastern Sporting Union, Rising Students Club, Sethu FC and Odisha FC have lifted the trophy once each.
* IWL 2024-25 will feature a total of 56 home and away matches.
* Dates of last eight matches are to announced later.
