DESCRIPTION:
* Around 600 boys and girls from 30 states are expected to participate.
* Almost all the players will be playing qualifying matches and around 400 among them will be seen in action in the main draw.
* Host Odisha will field a 19-member squad, comprising seven girls and 12 boys.
* Odisha will host the championship for the first time.
* OSBA is hosting the championship without the support of any sponsor.
* A budget of Rs 50 lakhs has been estimated for the smooth staging of the event.
* Badminton Association of India has assured a special grant of Rs 15 lakhs.
* OSBA expects some financial assistance from the state government.
* The week-long championship carries a prize fund of Rs 5 lakhs.
* Almost all the players will be playing qualifying matches and around 400 among them will be eligible to compete in the main draw.
