*   Golden King Snooker Centre (GKSC) was established in 2015 by an enthusiastic sportsman and
businessman Gyana Ranjan Behera, along with his elder brother Smruti Ranjan Behera, at Mata Matha Cantonment Road, Cuttack.
*   In 2015, the centre installed two national-level billiards tables and successfully hosted its first All Odisha Open Snooker Championship.
*   The tournament continued regularly from 2015 to 2019.
*   Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament could not be conducted from 2020 to 2022.
*   The tournament resumed in 2023, and the centre later shifted to its upgraded venue at CDA in 2025.
