Khurda district level talent selection for admission in the State government-run sports hostels and centres of excellence will be conducted at Kalinga Stadium here on April 18 and Khurda Stadium, Khurda on April 20. District level selection will be followed by the same at the State level. Induction of talents in sports hostels will be done in 11 disciplines — archery, athletics, basketball, football, gymnastics, hockey, kabaddi, swimming, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling. But selection for centre of excellence will be conducted in five games — athletics, football, hockey, swimming and weightlifting. Age limit for talents varies from 10 to 14 years. After induction, trainees will be entitled to get free food worth Rs 2,250 per month, accommodation, coaching and equipment.
