Impressive all-rounder performance by captain Deepak Mangaraj helped city club Rameswar Sporting win the 26th All-India Biren Pallai Memorial Cricket Tournament, trouncing Rising Students (Cuttack) by seven wickets at Charampa, Bhadrak today. Mangaraj took four wickets and scored a half-century to bag three individual awards. He was adjudged man of the match, man of the tournament and best bowler. The champion side took home the top prize of Rs 20,000, while the runners-up received Rs 10,000.
