Asirbad Behera was re-elected unopposed as the genera secretary of Cuttack District Athletic Association (CDAA) for a four-year term (2015 to 2019) in the annual general meeting of the district body at Barabati Stadium here today.
This was the ninth time in a row that Behera, who is also the secretary of state Olympic, athletics and cricket associations, was elected as the general secretary of CDAA. He had taken charge of the post for the first time in 1985 for a two-year term.

In the AGM of the district body, a new committee for promotion of women sports was constituted in the meeting with Olympian Anuradha Biswal as its chairperson and Pratima Mishra, Gitanjali Khuntia, Madhusmita Behera, Banishree Chintak as members.
