  Das hits ton in ECoR win

East Coast Railway (ECoR) upset last year`s champions Eastern Railway by three wickets in the last league match of the All-India Inter-Railway Cricket Tournament at Behela, Kolkata on Tuesday. East Coast owed their victory to Rashmi Ranjan Das, who scored an unbeaten century to help his side register their fourth win in five matches. With this win, East Coast Railway emerged group toppers, followed by Eastern Railway at the second place. Both the sides, however, qualified to play in the quarterfinals at Goa during the first week of April.

 

Brief scores: Eastern Railway 262/9 in 50 overs (Arindam Sarkar 79, S N Jeet 54; Sourav Sehgal 3/44, Deepak Mangaraj 2/37) lost to East Coast Railway 265/7 in 48 overs (Rashmi Ranjan Das 100 n.o, Sukhbinder Singh 45, Subit Biswal 48, Sourav Sehgal 20).
