Godavarish Mahavidyalaya, Banapur emerged champions in the Utkal University Inter-College Women’s Volleyball Tournament, which concluded here at Vani Vihar today. In the final, Godavarish Mahavidyalaya beat Jaya Hanuman Mahavidyalaya, Nikirei (Kendrapara) by 2-0 sets.

Earlier in the semifinals, Godavarish Mahavidyalaya defeated Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar also by 2-0 sets. Utkal University Sports Council Director Prof Jayant Kumar Parida inaugurated the tournament, while KIIT University Sports Council Director Dr Gaganendu Dash handed over the trophy and prizes at the valedictory function.

Utkal University Physical Education Office Ambika Prasad Ray, Sports Council official Pramod Kumar Nayak and tournament coordinators Dr Benudhar Das, Chatrubhuja Jena and Bairagi Charan were present on the occasion.
