Cuttack made clean sweep of the top four team prizes in the 23rd Inter-District & Odisha State Table Tennis Championships, which is underway at TT Academy-cum-Indoor Hall in Angul today. Cuttack-B side, comprising Dishant Panda, Mohammed Yunus, T Shiva, Sudeep Behera and Sahil Suman Bhuyan bagged the men’s team title, winning all three of their league matches.
Cuttack-A team, featuring Tohid Haque, M Eshwar Rao, K Karthik, M Shiva and Mohit Behuray, finished runners-up with two wins and one loss against Cuttack-B. It was other way round in junior boys’ team event with Cuttack-A and Cuttack-B emerging champion and runners-up respectively.
M Eshwar Rao, Saheel Suman Bhuyan, Mohit Behuray and Santosh Pritam represented the Cuttack-A junior boys’ team. Cuttack-B junior boys’ team had in their rank S R Pati, Arya S Mohaprasastha, Om Prakash Rao and Mohammad Izhaar.
